Here at Apply to Refinance we look at refinancing differently. We know some in the financing market would have you think you should deal directly with a lender, cutting out the middle man.

This makes sense if you want only those programs available from that one lender. On the other hand, some may feel that you should work only with a broker to expand the number of lenders to choose from.

Indeed, brokers may offer a multitude of loan options since they deal with a multitude of lenders, but it may also cost you more in lender fees.

In addition, some companies may hide charges for “no cost” and “zero” loans in the interest payment and since you pay the interest over the life of the loan, you may actually pay more for a “no cost” loan than you would if you paid an up-front fee.
